Our favorite fall event and a “must-see” for visitors!
Join us for Spook-tacular Fun on Saturday, October 17, 2026, for the annual Scarecrows March Down Main Street. Bring the family to enjoy, vote, and yes, even marvel at the creativity that comes out each year in the form of these fantastical scarecrows! We have close to 60 crafty, funny, and lovable scarecrows that adorn our Main Street each fall – including a few extra-large Scarecrows that make a B-I-G impression!
We invite you to visit from 11:00 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday the 17th to:
- Stroll our beautiful downtown to discover the incredible collection of scarecrows
- Vote on your favorites
- Enjoy toe-tapping music
- Try your hand at Fall-themed games
- Autumn crafts for children
- And more!
If you can’t make it on the 17th to vote, these crafty creations stay put until Halloween to keep the ghosts and goblins at bay!
For Our Middletown Folks That Want to Create a Scarecrow:
To participate in this uniquely Middletown event, go to the Municipal Center at 31 West Main Street on Monday, September 28 to pick up your Scarecrow Kit. We have 60 kits – first come, first served.
Bring your finished Scarecrow up to Town Hall no later than Friday, October 16th, 2026 at 5:30 pm. We can’t wait to see what you all dream up for 2026!
