Happy New Year!
Middletown, Maryland is embracing the new year with energy and excitement! While we love our holiday traditions, we also look forward to the fresh feeling that flipping the page on the calendar brings – an energized focus to refresh and start anew.
And we’re starting 2023 off with a bang!
Please join us on Saturday, January 21 at 10:00am, for a ribbon-cutting celebration for the expansion of Hello Gorgeous Salon to Hello Gorgeous Salon and Boutique! Any new business can be transformative to a smaller Main Street community, but retail can make a noticeable impact. Not only are we just excited about the addition of the new business, but we love the creativity and entrepreneurial thinking behind this concept of adding retail to a hair salon. The hair stylists often model the clothing, and these mini-fashion shows are fun for the client and such a great way to help sell the product.
Not only do we have a new business, but we are firming up the Calendar of Events for 2023. We’re adding a new event to our usual line-up to include hosting the Maryland House and Garden Pilgrimage on May 6, 2023. The Maryland House and Garden Pilgrimage is a cherished Maryland tradition, and in its 86th year, asked Middletown to host one of the tours. We’re eager to share with architectural history lovers around the state and region our fantastic collection of architectural treasures that have been so lovingly maintained for many years.
Also new for 2023, you will start to notice new banners for our street poles, more plants in the planters, the addition of a bike-rack or two, and the completion of the rehabilitation of 19 West Main Street as we are the recipients of another important grant that allows us to continue to bring visible changes and new amenities to our Main Street.
So cheers to 2023 and another year of living, working, and relaxing in Main Street Middletown, Maryland’s Timeless Treasure.
